Dave - you very well could be right. I just this afternoom ordered a new vacuum slide assembly(the only way they come). Like gold 97.00 and change. The parts guy said there were no superseeding numbers which means this has never had an update. Hard to imagine. Personally, I think a brass slide would be the answer. I'm going to keep playing around with it however until the new part comes in 4-5 days from now. Tried looking up Mikuni factory for suggestions/technical info but could find anyway to get in. Any suggestions? I still think this needs factory advice.
